The role will involve developing and delivering further education engineering subjects with qualifications including Pearson BTEC National Diplomas, EAL Vocational Awards, and City and Guilds qualifications. We have many opportunities, including Electrical, Mechanical Maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, and Fluid Power.
Applications are welcome from individuals in the industry looking to move into the education field; training will be provided.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and assessments
- Develop course materials including handouts and reference materials
- Deliver training to apprentices and adults
- Create a motivational learning environment
- Assess learners’ progress, provide constructive feedback and progress reports
About you
- Time served apprentice, relevant City and Guilds (part 3) qualification or full Technical Certificate or national Certificate or higher
- Level 3 (or higher) teacher training qualification (desired)
- A1 and V1 (desired)
- Industrial experience combined with knowledge of current industry and best practice standards (desirable)
- Good presentation and communication skills
